Mado café and restaurant is a world famous multinational Turkish franchise well known for its ice cream and traditional Turkish cuisine.
Mado has a rich history and was founded in 1850 by Yasar Kanbur as a traditional Turkish ice cream shop which later became a chain in 1991 and now operates in 30 countries.
The brand gets its name from two words: “Maraş”, the former name of the city where the firm originated; and “Dondurma”, which is Turkish ice-cream.
Mado’s first branch in Iraq was launched in 2015 in Baghdad and following its successful launch a further 5 branches were successfully opened across Iraq soon after.
Further plans are currently in place to open another 4 branches by the year 2025 bringing the total number of Mado branches to 10 restaurants across Iraq.
